Jean Pierre Marniquet ‘Chaine D’Etoiles’, NV Venteuil, Champagne 15.00
Marenco Moscato D’Asti Strevi Piedmont, Italy 8.50

A crisp refreshing frizzante (slightly sparkling) wine from Strevi in Northern Italy Great as a very low alcohol aperitif,
a palate cleanser or with salty foods: Aromas of lychee, pears and white spring flowers with crisp minerality which off
    sets the delicate sweetness.

    White

Cantina Tollo, Pinot Grigio, 2010 Puglia, Italy 8.00
Mt Beautiful, Sauvignon Blanc 2010 Chevrot Hills, New Zealand 12.50

Rich and racy, this distinctive wine was grown at Cheviot, north of Waipara, in North Canterbury. Concentrated and vibrantly fruity, with appetising acidity, it has ripe, tropical fruit flavours, showing a slightly oily richness, and a dry,
    lingering finish

Les Malandes ‘Saint Bris’, Sauvignon Blanc 2009 Chablis, France 12.50
Mount Horricks, Riesling, 2011 Clare Valley, SA 10.00
    Simonnet-Febvre, Chardonnay 2010 Chablis, France 11.00
Winbirra, Mingary Vineyard Pinot Gris, 2008 Mornington Pen., Vic 10.50

Super star Mornington winemaker Sandro Moselle makes this single vineyard wine. A wonderfully fruit driven palate with
beautifully expressive character and structure andt retaining a degree of refinement that many other Gris’s from
Australia lack, this wine is a delight.

    Rose

Delas Freres, Tavel, Grenache Blend Rhone, France 11.50

    Red

Alma Negra, Pinot Noir, 2008 Mendoza, Argentina 10.00

Frescoboadi Pietrareggia dell’Ammiraglia Riserva, Morellino ,Ciliegiolo, Syrah, 2007 Tuscany, Italy 13.00

Intense ruby red in color that veers toward purple. On the nose the fruit is powerful: intense notes of fruits of the forest such as blackberry, currant and raspberry; together with those, mature summer fruits such as plum and black cherry and bold spicy notes of black pepper, cloves and liquorice.

Salomon Estate, Shiraz, 2009 Finnis River , SA 10.50
Palacios Remondo “La Vendimia”, 2009 Tempranillo, Granache Rioja, Spain 13.00

Mid-weight, and only seeing a short stint in oak this is a delight and a 50/50 blend of both wines. The palate is smooth and decadent with savoury flavours and generous texture.

Willespie Estate, Cabernet Blend 2003 Margaret River, WA 8.50

Salomon ‘Undolf Kogl’ Reserve, 2009 Kremstal, Austria 88.00
    Trimbach ‘Reserve’, 2000 Alsace,France 90.00

This wine is pale golden in color with a greenish tinge. On the nose it has developed aromas of minerals, and the palate it is full, again slightly mineral, with grapefruit and lemon-like fruit. The ripeness is balanced by good fresh acidity and great length. This wine is a classic introduction to Alsace Riesling where the aim is for a relatively high- alcohol, dry, powerful wine with enormous length and flavor.

    J. B. Becker ‘Spatlese Trocken’, 2005 Rheingau, Germany 95.00
Trimbach ‘Cuvee Frederic Emile’ 2005 Alsace, France 125.00

This famous Riesling comes from the choicest slopes of Ribeauvillé overlooking the Trimbach winery. The exposure is south and southeast. The vines’ high average age of some 30 years ensures low yields and concentrated fruit. The clay-limestone soil contains a high proportion of fossil-flecked muschel-kalk, which bangs out all that is best in the Riesling. Cuvée Frédéric Emile is made solely frm very ripe grapes, picked selectively at the end of the harvest. Dry and firmly-structured, but very fruity, this multifaceted wine owes its great depth of flavour to the combination of Riesling grapes with ideal soil. After a few years in bottle it reveals a fascinating mineral nuance.

Winbirra, Mingary Vineyard Pinot Gris, 2008 Mornington Pen., Vic 48.00
Trimbach, Pinot Blanc, 2009 Alsace, France 58.00
The nose is rich with white flower and apricot notes, while the palate is light and creamy, with some hints of almond
    and oak.
Trimbach ‘Reserve Personnelle’ Pinot Gris, 1993 Alsace, France 107.00

Only in the greatest vintages does Trimbach take the top selection of grapes from the choicest vineyard plots to fashion this rich, weighty, opulent wine which takes many years to develop its full potential. Rich and fragrant nose, apricot and touch of botrytis. Very ripe fruits in the palate, creamy texture, full-bodied, and a baby at only 18 years old.

Trimbach ‘Select de Grains Noble’ Pinot Gris, 1985 Alsace, France 280.00

Selection de Grains Nobles wines are even richer and rarer than vendange tardive(late Harvest) ones. They are only harvested under ideal climatic conditions, the botrytis grapes literally being picked one by one. These rare nectars have an unrivalled aromatic intensity and improve decade after decade. In the glass the wine displays a great, rich and golden colour. The nose is just delightful, a melange of orange-flavoured biscuits, with elements
of crunchy caramel, baked citrus fruits and deeply flavoured, spicy and aromatic ginger cake. There are certainly plenty of fabulous botrytis-related aromas here, reflecting the grains nobles element of this wine. On the palate it still displays a good sweetness despite its two decades, with a fleshy and rounded character, cut off by a bitter orange finish. The flavours rotate around a core of botrytis, with fresh crystalline fruit, sprinkled with minerals and quince. Supple, gently sweet, broad and yet elegant in its composition, this is a gorgeous wine for savouring now.

Chateau Tahbilk, Marsanne, 2003 Central Victoria, Vic 38.00
Trimbach, Sylvaner, 2009 Alsace, France 45.00
Sylvaner is a great aperitif style wine with light fruit and a little savoury earthyness in the nose.
Medium light bodied, good fruit and pleasant crispness on the palate and little seen outside of Germany.

Trimbach ‘Reserve’ Muscat, 2009 Alsace, France 55.00
Unlike many Muscats, Trimbach’s is bone-dry. The highly-scented nose leads into a flavour so fruity that you almost think you are eating ripe grapes.

Baumard, Savennieres, 2007 Loire Valley, France 57.00

Chenin Blanc from the Loire Valley; a rich textual savory palate and completely dry this wine is full of
complexity. If you have never tried wine from this part of the world this is the one to get your new passion started.

Chateau de Vaux “les Hautes Bassieres”, 2009 Moselle, France 57.00

We were immediately struck by the incredible aromatics of this unfiltered red. While the wine is fairly pale in color, in fact, almost a dark rose in color, it offers plenty of classic Pinot flavors including strawberry, cranberry, Japanese incense, woodsmoke, as well as a touch of earth and mushroomy notes. On the palate, this wine has delicate but persistent fruitiness and the balance between fruit and acid is flawless
